I followed the sound of the insects in the gardens to a tree-filled spot and stood stationary to create the binaural recording. Inspired by recent makenoise cicada series. Added clouds to an o-ctrl (fast) sequenced mimeophon output and sending partly back though feedback loop. X-pan did the rest using ochd as the lfo mod. Source for panning and fade in/out.

Enormous symphony of tree frogs, a few crickets and even a foreign frog makes an entrance on this track. Mono, recorded with sm58, eq'd, compressed slightly and mixed to lufs levels indicated on file name.

When the air is dry and hot, insects (that i believe are cicadas) chirp loudly from every direction while being too small for anyone to spot. Their sound, to me, is a sign and reminder of the hot, dry air of australian summer.

This is an editied version of acclivity's sound file, "30832_acclivity_summereveninginmygarden". His original file contains a barking dog, which depending on your usage, can deter from the intent of your project. Since acclivity's recording has excellent signal to noise ratio, and has captured some beautiful birdsong, i thought other people might be able to use this edited file with all the dog barking taken out.
